Radio City Christmas Spectacular Tickets Information

A holiday tradition enjoyed yearly by millions of families, it is the most watched live performance in the country, with over 2 million audience members each year. The event always features fun and excitement for children of all ages, with giant dancing teddy bears, wooden toy soldiers, and high-flying reindeer, Rudolph and all.

A persistent highlight of the event is the world-renowned synchronized dancing of the Rockettes. There are 36 women in the Rockettes kick line, all between 5'6" and 5'10-1/2", with the tallest member in the middle fanning out to the shortest at the outer ends. For over 50 years, the Rockettes have performed four shows a day, every day of the week, every day of the year. Besides the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, they also perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Columbus Day Parade, and at the Christmas tree lighting at NBC's Rockefeller Center.

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular has come a long way in 77 years, starting out in 1933 as a performance of just two acts: the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers and a startlingly vivid Living Nativity.

The show starts by taking visitors with the Rockettes on a double-decker bus for a thrilling guided tour of New York at Christmastime, from the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty to Times Square. They then head up to the North Pole and Santa's workshop, where he and Mrs. Claus and the elves all watch the toys come to life. A retrospective film is then shown through the 3D frame of a giant greeting card. After the Rockettes give a smashing finale, the show ends with the traditional Living Nativity. All told, it's a way to celebrate the holiday like no other.

Best of all, you don't have to come to New York to see it, as incarnations of the cherished event play to seven other major metropolitan areas throughout the country. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular runs at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan from November 13th to December 30th, with select performances in Alabama, Washington D.C, Florida, Georga, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Virgina throughout that time period.
