Denver Broncos Tickets Information

The Denver Broncos are one of 4 teams in the American Football Conference West Division (AFC West) – along with the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers - and one of 16 teams in the AFC which in turn is one of the two conferences in the National Football League (NFL).

The team known formerly know to its fans as “Orange Crush” (for their revered 1977-79 defense), the Broncos have been playing football since 1960 as part of the American Football League, Western Division of which they remained a part until 1969. The Denver Broncos joined the NFL and the AFC West Division in 1970. Since then they have won 10 AFC West Division championships (1977-78, 1984, 1986-87, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, and 2005). They’ve played in 8 AFC conference championships and won 6 (1977, 1986-87, 1989, and 1997-98).

Since the 1966 advent of the Super Bowl, the Broncos have played in 6 Super Bowls and won 2, consecutively – Super Bowl XXXII in 1998 beating the Green Bay Packers 31-24 and Super Bowl XXXIII in 1999 beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-19.

The Broncos are the only team in the NFL to have played in at least one Super Bowl broadcast on each of the major television networks: NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX. The Broncos also hold the illustrious honor of having been mentioned in both of television’s top prime time cartoons for adults, The Simpsons and South Park.

Since 2001 the Denver Broncos have been playing their home games at the 76,000+ seat Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, replacing their home field from 1960-2000, Mile High Stadium. The team uniform colors are Broncos navy blue, orange, and white. The team mascot is Miles, the bronco.

They are currently under the leadership of rookie head coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels brings a wealth of coaching experience to the job, and was a key component in the New England Patriots’ success since 2001. He was also responsible for turning Tom Brady and Matt Cassel into successful starters in the NFL, and hopes to have the same effect on Kyle Orton and Chris Simms in Denver.

A number of Broncos have earned their way into the pro football history books, including the following who’ve been honored by entry into NFL Hall of Fame: running back Tony Dorsett (1988; inducted 1994), quarterback John Elway (1983-98; inducted 2004), and cornerback Willie Brown (1963-66; inducted 1984).

The Denver Broncos finished out 2008/2009 with a .500 regular season record (8 wins, 8 losses). Get your Denver Broncos tickets and see how far they ride this year.
