Florida Marlins Tickets Information

The Florida Marlins are a Major League Baseball team established in 1993 and based in the metro area of Miami, Florida. The Florida Marlins are 1 of 5 teams - along with the Atlanta Braves, the New York Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Washington Nationals - that play in the East Division of the 16-team National League. The Florida Marlins played their first game on April 5, 1993 against the Los Angeles Dodgers and won.

Since their beginnings the Florida Marlins have played their home games in the same stadium in Miami Gardens, a suburbs north of Miami, though over the years it's gone through many names. It started as Joe Robbie Stadium and stayed that way for a few years, then became Pro Player Park for 1 year (1996) before changing to Pro Player Stadium, and then changed once again to Dolphins Stadium in 2005, until it finally became Land Shark Stadium in 2009.

They conduct Spring Training at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida as part of the Grapefruit League. The team uniform colors are teal, black, gray, and white.

The Marlins have a famous ongoing interleague rivalry with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays played out every year in the Citrus Series.

1997 and 2003 were no doubt the Florida Marlins greatest years to date, landing them 2 Wild Card Berths, 2 National League pennants, and 2 World Series titles (against the Cleveland Indians and the New York Yankees respectively). Among other feats to be proud of, that makes their World Series record 2-0.

To date the Florida Marlins have only had 1 player inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame, and that was Tony Perez in 2001. But the Florida Marlins can still boast a number of legends in their previous rosters, including multiple-time All-Stars Luis Castillo, Mike Lowell, Miguel Cabrera, and Dontrelle Willis.

This past 2008 season, the Marlins finished 3rd in the NL East with an 84-77 record. Now would be the perfect time to get yourself some Florida Marlins tickets and come out and show your support!
