Cleveland Indians Tickets Information

Nicknamed "The Tribe", the Cleveland Indians are a Major League Baseball team established in 1900, and based in Cleveland, Ohio. Starting out as the Cleveland Blues, they became the Cleveland Broncos in 1902, changing names again to the Cleveland Naps in 1905, not becoming the Cleveland Indians we know them to be today until 1915.

The Cleveland Indians are 1 of 5 teams - along with the Minnesota Twins, the Detroit Tigers, the Chicago White Sox, and the Kansas City Royals - that play in the Central Division of the 14-team American League. The Indians are 1 of only 4 charter teams in the entire league (the others being the Boston Red Sox, the Chicago White Sox, and the Detroit Tigers) to call the same city home for their entire franchise history.

Since 1994 the Cleveland Indians have played their home games at Progressive Field (formerly known as Jacob’s Field or "The Jake") in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The team currently conducts Spring Training in Goodyear, Arizona as part of the Cactus League.

The Indians have ongoing in-league rivalries with the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers, and an interleague rivalry known as the "Buckeye Series" or the "Battle for Ohio" (after the American Revolutionary war of the same name) with fellow Buckeye state residents the Cincinnati Reds, a team in the National League.

In their career, the Cleveland Indians have won no Wild Card Berth, however they've won every Central Division title for the 5 years running from 1995 to 1999, and again in 2001 and 2007. They've won 5 American League pennants (their first in 1920, their last in 1997).

They've played in 5 World Series and won 2, the first 2 they ever played: in 1920 against the Brooklyn Robins, and in 1948 against the Boston Braves.

The Cleveland Indians have a number of legends in their previous rosters, including no less than 25 former players who've been inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame, 13 of whom played more games with the Indians than any other MLB team.

In 2008-09 the Cleveland Indians finished third in the division, posting 81 wins and 81 losses. If you think like we do that it's this powerhouse team's time to shine, then go grab yourself some Cleveland Indians tickets now and be there when it happens.
