University of Southern California Trojans Tickets Information

The USC Trojans are one of 10 teams in the Pacific Ten Conference - along with the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, California Golden Bears, Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Stanford Cardinal, UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies, and Washington State Cougars.

The USC Trojans are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's football and basketball teams for the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, one of 2 private and nonsectarian universities in the Pac-10 (the other being Stanford University), and one of 4 from the state of California, the others being Stanford, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. They are two of the university's 19 varsity teams.

The USC Trojans play their football home games at the 92,500 seat Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and their basketball home games at the 10,258 seat Galen Center. The team uniform colors are cardinal and gold, and the mascot is Traveler, a white horse.

Football:

The USC Trojans football program is the epitome of the word ‘powerhouse’. Since their beginnings in 1888, the team has achieved a 766-303-54 (.717) record including an impressive 31-16 record in postseason bowl games, 11 national championships and 38 conference titles.

Head coach Pete Carroll is entering his 8th year as coach of the Trojans and has led them to a record of 88-15 overall. His .854 win percentage is the highest among all active coaches with a minimum of five years at a Football Bowl Subdivision program. Since he became the coach of USC, the Trojans have fought their way to multiple national championship games (including wins in 2004 and a split of the National Championship in 2003) and have consistently won the Pac-10 Conference title.

The USC Trojans football program tends to produce many successful NFL players. Current NFL players include Reggie Bush (New Orleans Saints), Matt Cassel (Kansas City Chiefs), Carson Palmer and Keith Rivers (Cincinnati Bengals), Troy Polamalu (Pittsburgh Steelers), Lofa Tatupu (Seattle Seahawks), Willie McGinest (Cleveland Browns) and Matt Leinart (Arizona Cardinals).

The 2008 USC Trojans finished the season with a 12-1 record culminating in a win in the Rose Bowl against Penn State. A loss at Oregon State in week 3 dashed their hopes of a national championship, but they finished the year ranked #2 in the AP rankings and #3 in the coaches poll. Expect USC to keep their momentum going, so make sure you get your tickets and see it all happen in person.

Basketball:

Currently entering his first year as head coach of the Trojans is Kevin O’Neill, who has plenty of head coaching experience at both the NCAA and NBA levels. In the past, O’Neill has coached Marquette, Tennessee, Northwestern, Arizona, as well as the Toronto Raptors of the NBA.

The USC Trojans have a number of school heroes in their previous rosters including the following who've made it to the NBA: Demar DeRozen (Toronto Raptors), O.J. Mayo (Memphis Grizzlies), Larry Ayuso (Denver Nuggets), David Bluthenthal (Sacramento Kings), Stais Boseman (Houston Rockets), Sam Clancy (Portland Trail Blazers), Ronnie Coleman (Atlanta Hawks), Jerry Dupree (Los Angeles Lakers), Desmon Farmer (Seattle SuperSonics), Robert Pack (Toronto Raptors), Dana Pagett (Virginia Squires), Rodrick Rhodes (Cleveland Cavaliers), Brian Scalabrine (Boston Celtics), Ronald Taylor (Pittsburgh Condors), and Jeff Trepagnier (Charlotte Bobcats).

Of the Pac-10 championship tournaments that took place since 1987, the USC Trojans have won one. USC’s victory took place this past year as they defeated Arizona State in the championship game. They've won 2 regular season championships as part of the Athletic Association of Western Universities/Pacific-8/Pacific Ten (AAWU/Pac-8/Pac-10), and prior to 1960 they won 5 as part of the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC). They have yet to win an NCAA tournament or NIT championship (National Invitation Tournament).

In 2008-09 the USC Trojans finished with an 9-9 (.500) record in the Pac 10 and 22-13 (.629) in the NCAA. Get your USC Trojans tickets now and see what kind of showing they can turn out this year.
