University of South Florida Bulls Tickets Information

The USF Bulls are one of 16 teams in the Big East Conference - along with the Cincinnati Bearcats, Connecticut Huskies, DePaul Blue Demons, Georgetown Hoyas, Louisville Cardinals, Marquette Golden Eagles, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Pittsburgh Panthers, Providence Friars, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, St. John's Red Storm, Seton Hall Pirates, Syracuse Orange, Villanova Wildcats, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

The USF Bulls are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's football and basketball teams for the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, one of 7 public universities in the Big East. South Florida is currently in its 5th season as part of the Big East - having joined in 2005 along with fellow former Conference USA members the University of Cincinnati, DePaul University, University of Louisville, and Marquette University. Before that they were in the Metro Conference (from 1992-1995) and the Sun Belt Conference (1976-1991).

The USF Bulls play their football home games at the 66,321 seat Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and their basketball home games at the 11,324 seat USG Sun Dome. Recent improvements at the Sun Dome include a new $2 million scoreboard and a new playing surface. The team uniform colors are green and gold, and their mascot is Rocky the Bull.

Football:

The USF Bulls are a relatively new team to the NCAA stage, playing its first game in 1997, and its first game in the Big East division in 2005. Despite this, the team plays like it has been around for a century, as demonstrated by the 79-47 (.627) record that the university boasts. The team also has a 2-2 bowl record.

Coach Jim Levitt is the only head coach in the history of USF football. He is entering his 12th year at the helm. Despite his success as coach, he has gained a notoriety of having a lack of discipline as demonstrated by his team consistently ranking as one of the most penalized college football teams.

Several well-known NFL players are alumnus of the South Florida football program, including Kawika Mitchell (Buffalo Bills) and Mike Jenkins (Dallas Cowboys),

The Bulls finished 8-5 during the 2008 season. Purchase your Bulls tickets today and watch the team succeed again this year.

Basketball:

The South Florida Bulls have a number of school heroes in their previous rosters including former NBA players Chucky Atkins (Memphis Grizzlies), Curtis Kitchen (Seattle Redhawks), Jim Grandholm (Dallas Mavericks), and Gary Alexander (Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers), as well as the first USF player to ever have his jersey retired, the Bulls' all-time scoring leader Charlie Bradley (#30).

The USF Bulls have never won a Big East tournament title or a Big East regular season title. They have made 2 NCAA Championship appearances and 7 NIT (National Invitation Tournament) appearances.

In his 3rd season now with the USF Bulls (since 2007), is head coach Stan Heath, previously head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He has led the team to a 21-41 record in his first two years.

In 2008-09, the USF Bulls finished with a 4-14 record in the Big East and 9-22 in the NCAA. USF Bulls tickets are a hotter commodity than ever before. Get yours while you still can.
