University of Oregon Ducks Tickets Information

The Oregon Ducks are one of 10 teams in the Pacific Ten Conference - along with the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, Oregon State Beavers, Stanford Cardinal, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, Washington Huskies, and Washington State Cougars.

The Oregon Ducks are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's football and basketball team for the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, one of 8 public universities in the Pac-10, and one of 2 from the state of Oregon, the other being Oregon State University. They are two of the university's 14 varsity teams.

The Oregon Ducks play their football home games at the 59,000 seat Autzen Stadium and their basketball home games at the 9,087 seat McArthur Court. The team uniform colors are "lightning yellow" and "thunder green", and the mascot is the duck, more specifically Donald Duck himself, thanks to an agreement between the university and Disney.

Football:

The Oregon Ducks football program began in 1894 and has since posted a 552-467-47 overall record, including a 9-13 postseason bowl record, 7 conference titles, but they have yet to win a national title.

Chip Kelly is entering his 1st season as head coach of the Oregon Ducks. He is considered one of the most innovative offensive minds in college football today. He is responsible for breaking school records for offensive outputs, leading the Pac-10 in scoring (41.9 points per game) and total offence (484.8 yards per game) in 2008.

Current NFL players that began their careers in Oregon include Haloti Ngata (Baltimore Ravens), Jonathan Stewart (Carolina Panthers), Maurice Morris (Dallas Cowboys), Kellen Clemens (New York Jets) and Joey Harrington (New Orleans Saints).

The Oregon Ducks were very successful in 2008, finishing with a 10-3 record and a win in the Holiday Bowl over Oklahoma St. They finished 9th in the Coaches ranking and 10th in the AP poll. To watch them carry this success over to 2009, get your tickets and be the Ducks’ home field advantage this year.

Basketball:

Since 1998, head coach of the Oregon Ducks has been Ernie Kent, former head coach at St. Mary's from 1992 to 1997. In his coaching career he's led his teams to 6 postseason appearances, 1 Pac-10 title, 2 Pac-10 tournament titles, 2 Elite Eights, 2 NIT Final Fours, and saw 3 of his players become NBA first round draft picks.

The Oregon Ducks have a number of school heroes in their previous rosters including the following who've made it to the NBA: Slats Borrevik and Terrell Brandon (Atlanta Hawks), Bryan Bracey (San Antonio Spurs), David Jackson (Cleveland Cavaliers), Luke Jackson (Los Angeles Clippers), Anthony Lever-Pedroza (Phoenix Suns), and Alex Scales (San Antonio Spurs).

Of the Pac-10 championship tournaments that took place since 1987, the Oregon Ducks have won 2 Pac-10 tournament titles. They've also won 1 Pac-10 regular season title, in 2002. Prior to 1987 they did not win any regular season championships as part of the Athletic Association of Western Universities/Pacific-8 (AAWU/Pac-8), but prior to 1960 they won 3 as part of the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC).

The Ducks won the first ever NCAA championship, in 1939, beating out the Ohio State Buckeyes, 46-33. They have yet to win an NIT championship (National Invitation Tournament). In 2002, the Oregon Ducks were undefeated at all home games. They went on to make the 2002 Elite Eight.

In 2008-09 the Oregon Ducks finished with a 2-16 (.111) record in the Pac 10 and 8-23 (.258) in the NCAA. Get your Oregon Ducks tickets now and watch them take the Pacific Ten and the NCAA by storm.
