The Oklahoma Sooners play their football home games at the 82,000 seat Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and their basketball home games at the 11,528 seat Lloyd Noble Center. The team uniform colors are crimson and cream, and the team mascot is the Sooner Schooner, a reduced-size reproduction of the type of Conestoga wagon that Oklahoma Territory settlers once used.

Football:

The Oklahoma Sooners football program is a perennial powerhouse year after year. Ranked as ESPN’s most prestigious college football program since 1936, the Sooners have an overall record of 791-296-53. The football program started in 1896 and is considered the most successful in the post-World War II era with 524 wins and a .761 winning percentage. The program has produced 7 national championships, 42 conference championships, 144 All-Americans and 5 Heisman Trophy winners.

Coach Bob Stroops is entering his 10th year at the helm and has achieved a 109-23 record. He led the Sooners to two victorious national championship games in 2000 and 2003. Oklahoma has won three straight Big 12 championships and six in total. No other Big 12 team has won two titles overall.

The program also boasts several records, namely ranking #1 in the AP Poll for 97 weeks, most points scored in a season (702 in 2008-2009), most consecutive victories at 47 and most points scored overall in NCAA basketball history (30,474) to name a few.

The Sooners are sure to break several other records in the years to come. Be sure you get your tickets to watch future-NFLer Sam Bradford and the Sooners’ potent passing attack.
