University of Missouri Tigers Tickets Information

The Missouri Tigers are one of 12 teams in the Big 12 Conference and one of 6 - along with the Colorado Buffaloes, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Nebraska Cornhuskers - that play in the North Division.

The Missouri Tigers play their football home games at the 70,000 seat Faurot Stadium and their basketball home games at the 15,061 seat Mizzou Arena. The team uniform colors are old gold and black, and the mascot is Truman the Tiger.

Football:

The Missouri Tigers are back in action and looking to crush the competition again. The team has a 604–507–52 record overall and is 12-14 in bowl games. The program has also produced 15 conference titles and 30 All-American players since the team’s beginnings in 1890. With division titles in 2007 and 2008, the team is poised to repeat their recent success in the 2009 season.

Head coach Gary Pinkel is entering his ninth season with the program and has achieved a 22-6 record over the past two years, making the Tigers a force to be reckoned with in the Big 12 Conference. They have been successful in their past two bowl games versus Arkansas in the 2007 Cotton Bowl, and against Northwestern in the 2008 Alamo Bowl.

The Tigers have enough talent to compete for a third straight division title. Make sure you visit Faurot stadium to cheer on the Missouri Tigers to another successful year.

Basketball:

The Missouri Tigers have a number of school heroes in their previous rosters including current NBA (National Basketball Association) players: Keyon Dooling (New Jersey Nets) and Kareem Rush (Philadelphia 76ers).

The Tigers have won 15 regular season conference championships and 7 conference tournament championships, most recently this past season. They had 7 NIT invitations and 22 NCAA invitations.

The Missouri Tigers have never won an NCAA Championship, though they've appeared in 23 NCAA tournaments. In 103 years of play, the Tigers' all-time record is 1,457 wins and 1018 losses (.589).

Spending his fourth season with the Missouri Tigers is head coach Mike Anderson who came to the team straight off head coaching the Alabama Blazers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2002-06.

In 2008-09 the Missouri Tigers finished 3rd in the Big 12 Conference, posting 12 wins and 4 losses (.750), with an overall 2008-09 NCAA record of 31 wins and 7 losses (.816). Get your Missouri Tigers tickets now and cheer them on to a winning season.
