University of California Los Angeles Bruins Tickets Information

The UCLA Bruins are one of 10 teams in the Pacific Ten Conference - along with the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, California Golden Bears, Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Stanford Cardinal, USC Trojans, Washington Huskies, and Washington State Cougars.

The UCLA Bruins are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's football and basketball teams for the University of California, Los Angeles in L.A., California, one of 8 public universities in the Pac-10, and one of 4 from the state of California, the others being Stanford University, the University of Southern California, and University of California, Berkeley.

The UCLA Bruins play their football home games at the 92,542 seat Rose Bowl and their basketball home games at the 12,829 seat Pauley Pavilion. The team uniform colors are "true blue" and gold.

Football:

The UCLA Bruins played their first intercollegiate football game in 1919, and have since compiled a successful record of 514-347-37. In postseason bowl games, they hold a 13-13-1 record, along with a national title and 17 conference titles. The Bruins have enjoyed several periods of success in their history, having ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll at least once every decade since the poll began in the 1930s.

Coach Rick Neuheisel is entering his 2nd year with the UCLA Bruins. Before taking the head coaching job, Neuheisel was the offensive coordinator of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. He also brings NCAA head coaching experience to the table after stints with Washington and Colorado.

Several successful NFL pros played at UCLA in college. Players include Maurice Jones-Drew and Marcedes Lewis (Jacksonville Jaguars), Ricky Manning Jr. (St. Louis Rams), and Brendon Ayanbadejo (Baltimore Ravens).

UCLA finished the 2008 season with a 4-8 record and look to improve. However, they can’t do it without the support of their fans at the Rose Bowl. Be the difference for the Bruins and purchase your tickets today.

Basketball:

Currently in his 6th season as head coach of the UCLA Bruins is Ben Howland, former head coach at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Northern Arizona.

The UCLA Bruins have a number of school heroes in their previous rosters including pro-basketball greats Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers), Rafer Johnson (decathlete and 2-time Olympic medalist), Bill Walton (Boston Celtics and others), Walt Hazzard (former Bruins head coach and former player on the Lakers, SuperSonics, Hawks, Braves, and Warriors), and Reggie Miller (Indiana Pacers).

They also boast the following former and current players in the NBA: Trevor Ariza (Houston Rockets), Ed O'Bannon (Orlando Magic), Toby Bailey and Tracy Murray (New York Knicks), Matt Barnes (Orlando Magic), Baron Davis (L.A. Clippers), Ray Young (Golden State Warriors), Cedric Bozeman and Jelani McCoy (Atlanta Hawks), Mitchell Butler (Denver Nuggets), Tyus Edney (Indiana Pacers), Jordan Farmar (Los Angeles Lakers), Dan Gadzuric (Milwaukee Bucks), J.R.
