U2 Tickets Information

Veteran Irish group U2 are revving up for an extensive world tour. "U2360" (or "U2 360 Degree Tour") promises to break new ground – familiar territory for these rockers – with production that includes a 360-degree audience configuration, ambitious staging and a cylindrical video screen. Starting on June 30, 2009 in Barcelona, the band plans to go global, continuing to tour until deep into 2010.

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. have a string of hits to their names, including Sunday Bloody Sunday, With or Without You, Desire, Angel of Harlem, One, Elevation, Beautiful Day and many more. Their 12th studio album, No Line on the Horizon, was released in February 2009 to positive reviews and quickly moved to the No. 1 spot on UK music charts.

U2 has sold more than 145 million albums worldwide, racked up 22 Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Lead singer Bono has become particularly known for his humanitarian efforts - but he's never lost his edge or passion for great music and catchy hits.

The buzz is gathering early for this one. U2 are known for making the most of a stadium's space, with larger-than-life sets, video, sounds and energy that reaches the furthest corners of the arena. U2 has spent more than three decades perfecting their performance, and it's only gotten better with time.

Speaking about U2360, band manager Paul McGuinness was quoted on BBC news as saying: "We have worked very hard to ensure that U2 fans can purchase a great-priced ticket with a guaranteed great view," noting the band is "at their best when surrounded by their audience."

Guitarist The Edge echoed his excitement in Billboard: "It's hard to come up with something that's fundamentally different, but we have, I think, on this tour," he said. "Where we're taking our production will never have been seen before by anybody, and that's an amazing thing to be able to say. For a band like U2 that really thrive on breaking new ground, it's a real thrill."

The tour starts June 30, 2009 in Barcelona, and spends the summer in Europe, with stops in Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, London and more. The North American leg kicks off in Toronto, Canada in September. U2 then criss-cross the States for 13 major gigs from New York and Boston to Phoenix and Los Angeles. This part of the tour wraps in Vancouver, Canada, but keep your eyes peeled: the boys plan to keep moving until fall 2010. Get your U2 tickets now so that you too can be a part of their tour!
