Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tickets Information

Named for the Trans-Siberian Railway that connects many diverse and geographically isolated cultures throughout Russia, and also known as TSO, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the 1996 brainchild of composer/producer Paul O’Neill, composer Robert Kinkel, and vocalist Jon Oliva.

Creating a unique mesh of symphonic metal and classic rock, TSO is perhaps best known for their innovative rock opera versions of popular Christmas classics.

The band’s albums are lush and multilayered, benefiting from the synergy of a full choir and 60-piece orchestra in the studio. While the angel atop this spectacular Christmas Tree of an orchestra is the writing trio of O’Neill, Kinkel, and Oliva, for the tree itself and all its luminous decorations, TSO draws from the greatest musical talents of our time from all genres – R&B to Broadway, Classical to Rock.

Prior to forming the project: Paul O’Neill had produced notable acts like the Scorpions, Aerosmith, and Humble Pie; Bob Kinkel had also worked in studio with Aerosmith, as well as with The Who and Genesis; and Jon Oliva was the front man for Savantage. Oliva is also currently fronting his own band Jon Oliva’s Pain.

Between 1996 and 2007, TSO released 5 studio albums: Christmas Eve and Other Stories, "The Christmas Attic", "Beethoven’s Last Night", "The Lost Christmas Eve", and "Night Castle".

In past tours, audiences were blessed with unannounced special guest onstage appearances by the likes of: Jon Anderson of Yes, Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult, Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople, Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Geoff Tate of Queensryche. Which lends to the question – what powerhouse stars will be there to wow you this year?

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2009-2010 Winter Tour is an exhaustive undertaking with performances (sometimes two) almost every day from its start - on November 1st at the Council Bluffs, Iowa – to its finish – on January 3rd at the Sommet Center, Nashville, Tennessee – hitting almost every state in the country in-between.

If you’ve only heard their albums, it’s time you hear the Trans-Siberian Orchestra live; it’s a rafter-shaking, roof-lifting, spirit-soaring, full-body experience. Be there for all the awe-inspiring holiday cheer. Get your Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets today.
