Heralding from Las Vegas, Nevada, The Killers made a name for itself with a unique sound that blends ‘80’s and ‘90’s musical styles with more modern synthesizer-based music. The band got together in 2002 and named itself after the bass drummer from a band featured in the video for the New Order song Crystal.

The Killers Tickets Information

The Killers is made up of:

Since 2004, The Killers have produced three albums (two in studio - “Hot Fuss” and “Sam’s Town” – and one compilation – “Sawdust”) each of which has hit the charts in a dozen countries, including the U.S., with the band’s biggest receptions coming from the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand each of the three countries having brought the band to #1 at least once.

According to British Phonographic Industry certification (the U.K. equivalent of the RIAA), both of The Killers’ first two studio albums have already gone quadruple platinum. Between its first three albums, The Killers have already hit over 12 million in sales.

Considering that The Killers have only released three albums to date, it’s telling that the band has released from those albums 13 hit singles, along with two – "A Great Big Sled" (feat. Toni Halliday) and "Don’t Shoot Me Santa" – released separately.

Other hits from The Killers include "Mr. Brightside", "Somebody Told Me", "All These Things That I’ve Done", "Smile Like You Mean It", "Under the Gun", "Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll", "When You Were Young", "Bones", "Read My Mind", "For Reasons Unknown", and "Tranquilize". The band’s albums also boast more than a dozen successful b-sides, most of which can be found, along with several rarities, on the compilation album “Sawdust.”

The Killers are known for including the as-yet unreleased songs "Where is She/Soft Surrender" and "Stereo of Lies" on many of the set lists.

The Killers have also appeared on the soundtracks for the films “Control,” “Spider-Man 3,” and the TV show “The O.C.”. And it’s well-known for the awesome covers the band performs as well, like Pink Floyd’s Time, David Bowie’s Moonage Daydream and Rock ‘n’ Roll With Me, Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Frank Sinatra’s Chicago, The Beatles’ Helter Skelter, Joy Division’s Shadowplay, Dire Straits Romeo & Juliet, and Cyndi Lauper’s Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun.

The Killers tour hits the states on August 31 in Columbia, Maryland and the following day in Wantagh, New York before heading to Canada and several overseas cities.
