The Seton Hall Pirates are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's basketball team for Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, one of 9 private universities and one of 8 Catholic universities in the Big East. They are one of 2 schools in the Big East from New Jersey, the other being Rutgers with whom they have a heated ongoing rivalry in all sports in which both schools compete, men's basketball included.
