The Purdue Boilermakers are the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) men's football and basketball teams for Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, one of 9 public universities in the Big Ten, and one of 2 from the state of Indiana, the other being the Indiana Hoosiers. They are two of the university's 20 varsity teams and, dating back to 1896, one of the founding members of the Big Ten conference.

The Purdue Boilermakers play their football home games at the 62,500 seat Ross-Ade Stadium and their basketball home games at the 14,123 seat Mackey Arena. The team uniform colors are old gold and black, and the mascots are the Boilermaker Special, a replica of a railroad locomotive from the Victorian era, built atop the chassis of a truck, and Purdue Pete.
