Philadelphia Flyers Tickets Information

Interesting to note, Philly had only ever had one other NHL team before, the Philadelphia Quakers, and for only one season (1930-31).

Playing home games at Wachovia Center (once known as First Union Center and CoreStates Center), the Philadelphia Flyers have racked up 15 Atlantic Division Championships in their career, including four in a row between 1973 and 1977, 3 in a row between 1984 and 1987, and most recently in 2004. They've also won seven Eastern Conference Championships and two consecutive Stanley Cups, in 1973-74 (against the Boston Bruins) and in 1974-75 (against the Buffalo Sabres).

The Flyers are coached by John Stevens, who was hired at the beginning of the 2006-07 season. Stevens has provided a renaissance for a team that seemed as though they had fallen from grace after the lockout. He led the team to the conference quarterfinals last year and lost to the eventual Stanley Cup Champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins, in 5 games.

The Philadelphia Flyers have the pieces in place to make a run year in and year out, but the question mark always seems to be goaltending. The Flyers hope that they have found their man this year in the form of former Ottawa Senators goaltender Ray Emery. Emery is returning from a year in which he played overseas and hopes to capture the same success that he did in his early years as a Senator.

Get your Philadelphia Flyers tickets and be the first to see new stars join familiar Flyers like speed-demon Simon Gagne on the ice. The Flyers' alternate captain, Gagne started young in pro hockey at 16 years old, going on to win the 2002 Olympic gold medal and earn the respective of his peers on the Philadelphia Flyers by winning the Pelle Lindbergh Memorial (for most improved player), the Bobby Clarke Trophy (for MVP), and the Toyota Cup twice (for star point scorer). Gagne joins a group of talented forwards such as Mike Richards and Danny Briere,

The Philadelphia Flyers made a huge splash in the offseason signing all-star and future Hall of Famer Chris Pronger to a new multi-year contract. Pronger is expected to bring reliability and toughness to a group of defensemen that includes Brayden Coburn, Randy Jones, Ryan Parent, Kimmo Timonen, and Matt Carle.

The Flyers are poised to make a deep run in the playoffs this year. Be there to experience all of the action in person by getting your tickets quickly.
