2010 NFL Pro Bowl Tickets Information

Buy 2010 NFL Pro Bowl tickets and be part of history in the making! In January 2010, for the first time since 1970, the annual Pro Bowl will be held outside of Honolulu, Hawaii. In a move that promises to inject new life into the already exciting event, Pro Bowl 2010 will be played the Sunday before the Super Bowl. Both events will rock LandShark Stadium in Florida. What a week!

The NFL Pro Bowl has a long and storied history. The very first Pro Bowl happened in 1939 in Los Angeles. Back in the early days, the NFL Pro Bowl matched the season's champion team against a team of all-stars from across the league. That all changed in 1970, when the National Football League merged with the rival American Football League. From then on, the official event name became the “AFC-NFC Pro Bowl,” and the game features the star players from the American Football Conference taking on those from the National Football Conference.

Once a rotating event, the 1980 Pro Bowl was played in Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii – and there it stayed through the 2009 game. For 2010, the NFL has decided to shake up tradition. The 2010 Pro Bowl will be held at LandShark Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins and the host site of Super Bowl (to be played exactly one week later). This will be the first time ever the Pro Bowl will be played before Super Bowl and will surely make for an unforgettable week of football in Florida.

"Moving the Pro Bowl to the Sunday prior to the Super Bowl can add even more excitement to Super Bowl week, one of the most anticipated weeks of the year," Frank Supovitz, the NFL’s senior vice president of events, is quoted as saying on NFL.com. "Taking the Pro Bowl to new locations can showcase our top players to more fans around the country. We are also in discussions with key leaders in Hawaii to continue our partnership with the State of Hawaii, which has embraced the Pro Bowl for 30 years."

Don't miss your opportunity to catch the Pro Bowl for yourself – without having to get all the way to Hawaii. Buy your tickets for the 2010 Pro Bowl today!
