Louisiana State University Tigers Tickets Information

Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and founded in 1860, LSU is one of the 12 current members of the NCAA Southeastern Conference, and one of 6 in the West Division.

LSU’s 14 varsity teams (7 women's, 5 men's, 2 coed), including their NCAA football and men's basketball teams, are called the Tigers. The Louisiana State University Tigers’ football stadium is the 92,000+ capacity Tiger Stadium (known fondly to fans as "Death Valley") and its basketball arena is the 14,000+ capacity Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

In line with the Southern Louisiana French-Cajun influence, fans will often be seeing with signs rooting, "Geaux Tigers!" The colors for the LSU "Fighting Tigers" are purple and gold.

Football:

LSU has taken 6 NCAA Football National Titles, 3 of which the school officially claimed, the last in 2007. LSU has also taken 10 Southeastern Conference football titles, the last in 2007.

The LSU Tigers have a fierce rivalry with the Arkansas Razorbacks of the University of Arkansas, played out each year on the day after Thanksgiving in The Battle for the Golden Boot, the prize for which is a trophy resembling the outline of Louisiana and Arkansas, and named, predictably, the Golden Boot.

The LSU Tigers also have a heated, ongoing rivalry with the Auburn University Tigers and one fondly known as A Southern Tradition with the Ole Miss Rebels.

LSU’s permanent rival in the opposing East Division is the University of Florida Gators. The LSU Tigers also have an ongoing rivalry with a team in Conference USA, the Tulane Green Wave.

See how they stack up against all their rivals this year by getting your LouisianaTigers tickets ASAP. Who knows, you may even witness a brand new rivalry or two making its start.

Basketball:

If you "believe in" the MNC, the Mythical National Championship, LSU won the very first National NCAA Basketball title in 1935.

Regardless of that, LSU absolutely and unequivocally won 10 Southeastern Conference regular season basketball titles, the last in 2009, and 1 Southeastern Conference Championship, in 1980. Including the most recent appearance in 2005-06, the Tigers have made 4 Final Four appearances, the others in 1953, 1981, and 1986.

Louisiana State Universityhas had many prominent players on their men's basketball team, including 2 - Bob Pettit and Pete Maravich (for whom their basketball arena was named) - who've been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Maybe one of the most widely recognized LSU Tigers alumni is Shaq, otherwise known as Shaquille O'Neal.

Get your LSU Tigers tickets today and be among the first to see who will be next to make the leap from the NCAA to the NBA.
