Los Angeles Kings Tickets Information

Playing for 32 seasons at the Fabulous Forum, built just for them in Inglewood, California, the Los Angeles Kings now call Staples Center their home, where they still boast some of the most avid and voracious fans in hockeydom.

The best season for the Kings was 1992-93, when they beat the Calgary Flames for the 1992-93 Western Conference Championships, but lost the Stanley Cup finals to the Montreal Canadiens. The Kings were also the 1990-91 Pacific Division Champions.

The team is coached by Terry Murray. In his first season as coach of the Kings (2008-09), Murray’s team finished with a paltry 79 points and missed the playoffs for the sixth straight year. However, the Kings boast a stable of young players that are budding superstars.

For instance, look at Dustin Brown. At 24 years old, he has been named the captain of the team (the youngest in the history of the Kings), and has already made it to the All-Star game. Another example is 19 year old defenseman Drew Doughty. In his first season after being drafted, Doughty stuck with the big team and finished with 27 points, but more importantly, played solid on the defensive end for the Kings. Not to mention, Doughty boasts a howitzer of a slap shot.

Along with Brown and Doughty, the Kings roster includes assistant captains Matt Greene and Anze Kopitar, as well as Alexander Frolov, Michal Handzus, Jack Johnson, Rob Scuderi, Wayne Simmonds, Jarret Stoll and Justin Williams. Although the team has plenty of promising young players, they are depending most on sophomore goaltender Erik Ersberg. He is the key to the Kings’ season, as the team hopes that Ersberg can raise them to the postseason.
