Kathy Griffin Tickets Information

Kathy Griffin started performing stand-up professionally with an improv comedy troupe out of Los Angeles called The Groundlings. One of her collaborators on the team was fellow future-celeb Janeane Garofalo, with whom she later would team up with for an act they called Hot Cup of Talk which later became the title of Kathy Griffin's 1998 HBO special.

After a slew of brief but noteworthy performances on various films (Shakes the Clown) and network TV shows (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and cable TV shows (parody of Truth or Dare on Showtime), she was finally catapulted her into the public eye with a steady role alongside Brooke Shields on NBC TV's Suddenly Susan.

A self-proclaimed D-list celebrity, Griffin stars in her own reality TV show, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List which first aired on Bravo TV in the summer of 2005 (after Griffin's successful appearance on the hit TV show Seinfeld) and still airs today. The show, which follows Griffin's struggle to make it in Hollywood, was nominated for an Emmy Award in the 'Outstanding Reality Program' category and in 2007 won the Emmy in that very same category.

During the run of her successful reality TV show, Kathy also made time to put together 4 stand-up comedy specials: The D-List, Kathy Griffin Is…Not Nicole Kidman, Strong Black Woman, and Everybody Can Suck.

Kathy Griffin also has the unique status of having guest hosted on the ABC Daytime Talk Show The View (with Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck) the very day in 2007 before Rosie O'Donnell made her highly publicized premature split from the show. ABC considered Griffin for Rosie's replacement, and had her guest host several more times throughout 2007 until Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd were ultimately chosen to fill the absent spots.

Kathy Griffin's comedy is marked by stark observations about her love life and crazy stories on popular celebrities and scathing commentaries on the culture of celebrity. Griffinclaims that her unique brand of humor has led to her being banned from: Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Show with David Letterman, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and The Tonight Show, though on September 11, 2007 she did appear, after all, on Ellen DeGeneres. Griffin was the winner of the first-ever Celebrity Mole reality TV game show. She also plays a mean game of poker, as seen on Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown.

To date, the ubiquitous Kathy Griffin has appeared in more than 20 films (Pulp Fiction, The Cable Guy, Muppets from Space) and more than 30 TV shows (Dilbert, The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Average Joe, Ugly Betty).

Kathy was a voice actor in an upcoming film called “Around the World in 50 Years 3D”. Griffin also appears as her self in “The Roast of Joan Rivers” and “The Celebrity Apprentice 2”.

Kathy Griffin is currently on tour across the United States! The tour started October 8th 2009 in Chicago and will go on until February 18th 2010 at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York!

A proud statement on her stand-up status was her position as a Judge on the reality TV program Last Comic Standing. Come see why Oxygen TV ranked her #17 of The 50 Funniest Women Alive. Get your Kathy Griffin tickets today.
