Kansas State University Wildcats Tickets Information

The Kansas State Wildcats are one of 12 teams in the Big 12 Conference and one of 6 - along with the Colorado Buffaloes, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks, Missouri Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers - that play in the North Division. They are one of the university's 16 varsity teams.

Before the Big 12 Conference was formed in 1997, the Kansas State Wildcats pounced around a bit, starting out in the Big Six Conference (1928-47), then moving to the Big Seven Conference (1947-58), and the Big Eight Conference (1958-96).

The Kansas State Wildcats play their football home games at the 50,000 seat Bill Snyder Family Stadium and their basketball home games at the 13,500 seat Bramlage Coliseum The team uniform colors are purple and white, and the mascot is Willie the Wildcat.

Football:

Kansas State’s football program started in 1893 with a win over St. Mary’s Academy and has since achieved a 452-598-41 record. This includes a 6-7 postseason record in bowl games. Their most recent win in a bowl game was over Arizona State in the 2002 Holiday Bowl.

The Kansas State Wildcats also boast two conference titles, the latest in 2003. Their success is a result of continuity in the form of head coach Bill Snyder. Snyder has coached the team for 19 years achieving a record of 136-68-1, and after a three year absence, he returns as head coach just in time for the 2009 season.

The Wildcats are involved in very intense rivalries. The most heated battle takes place yearly against the Kansas Jayhawks in the Sunflower Showdown. Nebraska is also considered a fierce rival to the Wildcats.

With Snyder returning to the team, die-hard Wildcats fans are optimistic that he will be able to achieve the same success he has had over the past two decades. Be sure to get your Kansas State Wildcats football tickets today, and witness the turnaround yourself.
