Jerry Seinfeld Tickets Information

New York City native Seinfeld got his start, funnily enough, as an amateur wrestler named "The Jewish Terror" in college (how Andy Kaufman). It was also during this period that he started exploring an interest in stand-up comedy, auditioning for Catch A Rising Star right out of college and making an appearance on an HBO Special for Rodney Dangerfield.

He followed that up with a brief and overlooked appearance on the TV series Benson, but contrarily had a successful run of recurring appearances on late night talk shows: The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The Merv Griffin Show, and Late Night With David Letterman.

Jerry Seinfeld became a household name with the 9-year run (1989-1998) of his smash hit TV sitcom Seinfeld on NBC. The show spent two seasons at top spot in the Nielsen ratings and four more seasons at number 2. In 2002 it was at the top of the TV Guide 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time and number 2 on the Entertainment Weekly 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. By the time the final episode was a bittersweet memory, the show had garnered 10 Emmy Awards.

In the series, which Seinfeld co-created, co-wrote, and (for the last two years) was executive producer, he starred as a fictional version of himself, living in an apartment in the Upper East Side of New York City with wacky friends and neighbors:

Each episode of the sitcom started and ended with Jerry Seinfeld delivering a stand-up bit in a club. For it is stand-up where Jerry is truly at his best. Following Seinfeld, Jerry went on tour and recorded a special called I'm Telling You For The Last Time.

He made a guest appearance on the current hit TV show 30 Rock playing himself. He also appeared as himself in 3 films: Comedian, A Uniform Used to Mean Something, and Hindsight is 20/20. He also voices the role of Barry B. Benson in the November 2007 Dreamworks animated release Bee Movie (which he also co-wrote).

Costarring along with him in Bee Movie, the next eagerly awaited Dreamworks Animation hit, are fellow award-winners: Renee Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Chris Rock, Kathy Bates, Megan Mullally, Robert Duvall, Patrick Warburton, and Larry Miller.

In August 2008, Jerry Seinfeld became the pitchman for Windows Vista, as part of a $300 million advertising campaign by Microsoft. In March 2009, it was announced that Seinfeld and the entire cast of Seinfeld will be appearing in Larry David's HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Seinfeld also added to his rare commercial appearances for the Greater Building Society in Australia.

Jerry Seinfeld’s tour around America starts November 5th 2009 at the Coronado Theatre in Rockford, Illinois and will run until December 27th 2009 ending at the famous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas!
