Dallas Stars Tickets Information

They won the Stanley Cup against the Buffalo Sabres in 1998-99 and, the following year, won the 1999-2000 Western Conference finals against the Colorado Avalanche, but lost the Cup to the New Jersey Devils.

Assistant Captain Mike Modano has been with the Stars franchise for 19 years (and played in all 19 seasons). In fact, he is currently the only remaining player from the original Minnesota North Stars on the team. In the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, he was the Stars first overall draft pick and the team has never regretted it. He was team captain when the Stars took the Stanley Cup in 1999 and was only recently replaced, in 2006, by Brendan Morrow.

Which makes now the best time to get your hands on some Dallas Stars tickets and see what team captain left winger Brenden Morrow, son-in-law of former teammate Guy Carbonneau (former Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens), has up his sleeve.

Goalie Marty Turco is a novelty in the NHL, as he never played in the Minors but was instead drafted straight out of college, playing for the University of Michigan in the NCAA to be precise. Turco started the 2002-03 season and played in the next 2 years NHL All-Star Games. On January 15, 2009, Turco recorded his 421st game for the Stars becoming the franchise’s all-time leader in games played by a netminder. He would also set records for total minutes played, and consecutive games in goal with 24,

After 5 years in a row of making the playoffs, the Stars were on the outside looking in at the end of the 2008-09 season. Injuries to the aforementioned Morrow, Sergei Zubov and top-flight center Brad Richards did not help their cause, but they enter the 2009-10 season with a healthy, stronger team. They also enter the season with a new head coach and new General Manager. Former player Joe Nieuwendyk enters his first season as GM, and has already replaced Dave Tippett with Marc Crawford as head coach of the team. Young players like Fabian Brunnstrom, Matt Niskanen and Loui Eriksson figure to help the team, along with the return of skilled players like Richards and Mike Ribeiro.

The Stars are poised to make a deep postseason run this season, so be sure to get your tickets and watch all of the action in person.
