Buffalo Sabres Tickets Information

From the beginning the Buffalo Sabres had the eyes on making history, picking Gilbert Perreault as the team's very first draft pick. Center Perreault went on to make 38 goals his rookie year and eventually wound up in the NHL Hall of Fame. His record was broken the very next year by Rick Martin, who made 44 goals in that, his first, season as a Sabre.

Will this be the year? How will you feel if it is and you aren't there rink-side to catch all the action? To keep that from happening, get your Buffalo Sabres tickets now. Martin and late-season Pittsburgh Penguins trade Rene Robert became a forward line to be reckoned with, later dubbed "The French Connection", who lasted together for a decade until the Colorado Rockies took Roberts in a 1980 trade and the Los Angeles Kings got Martin in 1981.

Whether it's at their home at HSBC Arena (which they share with the Buffalo Bandits lacrosse team) or in any of their away games, you'll thrill at the coaching of former Sabre left wingman himself (as well as former New York Ranger) Lindy Ruff. Before coming on as Head Coach of the Sabres in 1997, Ruff was Assistant Coach of the Florida Panthers from 1993-97, ending his stint with them with a Stanley Cup win. Ruff has the distinction of being the 31st coach to win 300 games and only the 16th to do it with just one hockey team.

The Buffalo Sabres is an inspired team to watch, as led by superstars Thomas Vanek and Derek Roy, and a supporting cast of solid players such as Tim Connolly, Paul Gaustad, Adam Mair and Craig Rivet. They are also backed by a talented goaltender in Ryan Miller.

In the 2008-09, the Sabres came within a few points of the final Eastern Conference Playoff spot, making them the first team in NHL history to win the Presidents’ Trophy one year and fail to make the playoffs the next two. But with a potent group of forwards, a good defensive core and a solid goaltender, the Sabres are destined for greatness in 2009-10.

Get your Buffalo Sabres tickets now to come see the Sabres take another shot at history and attempt to finally win their first Stanley Cup.
