Boston College Eagles Tickets Information

Boston College, originally a charter member of the Big East Conference, joined the ACC in 2005, making them the league's 12th and most recent member. Boston College’s admittance to the ACC had another great benefit to the league, giving it the required number of teams for divisional play.

2004 was also the same year fellow former Big East team, the Miami Hurricanes, joined the league. Boston College and Miami have a fierce rivalry going, dating back to a game in 1984 known as the "Hail Flutie" game.

Boston College’s 31 varsity teams, including their NCAA football and men's basketball teams, are called the Boston College Eagles. The Boston College Eagles football stadium is the 44,500 capacity Alumni Stadium and its men's basketball arena is the 8,600+ capacity Silvio O. Conte Forum. The school colors are maroon and gold.

Football:

Since joining the ACC in 2005, the Boston College Eagles football team has achieved a respectable 36-13 record. In the 2007 and 2008 ACC Championship games, the Boston College Eagles lost against Virginia Tech despite fielding competitive teams. In spite of the losses, Boston College is poised for a breakthrough in 2009.

So although the Boston College Eagles have yet to win an ACC Championship, watch out! Pick up those B.C. Boston College Eagles tickets now and be there when they take their first. It may be this year.

Men's Basketball:

Boston College has had a men's basketball team since 1904 and is currently playing in its 69th season of the game. Since then they have yet to win a national title, or even make it to the Final Four - which makes Boston College Eagles tickets appear to be the perfect tickets for fans of the underdogs.

But that's not to say the Boston College Eagles are without their share of victories. In 1967 they made it to the Elite Eight under head coach and former Boston Celtics point guard Bob Cousy. Then, since helping form the Big East Conference in 1979, the Boston College Eagles basketball team made it to the Elite Eight once again, this time in 1982.

And though they have yet to win an Atlantic Coast Conference championship, they did win 2 Big East Conference championships, in 1997 and 2001. So just hold on tight to those BC Boston College Eagles tickets. The team may be new to the league, but they're far from new to game, and you want to be there when they make ACC and NCAA men's basketball history.
